Being a member of a group purchasing organization comes with substantial benefits. Your group will receive negotiated discounted pricing, and payment terms that can only be obtained by being a member. ABS Vaccines has over 5000 members including hospitals and health systems nationwide, so we are continuously negotiating with manufacturers and vendors to obtain the best pricing on all of the products and services that are used in your practices.

Your savings depends on the contract and vendor and can vary according to products and services used throughout the year. On average, our members save between 15 and 20%.

ABS is a Physician Buying Group for it’s members to access pre-negotiated and discounted contracts and pricing based on the aggregated spend of all ABS Members. ABS has a very large network of member practices, therefore our vaccine purchasing program allows substantial savings even at small purchasing levels. The first step is to become an ABS member. Upon membership approval, we will load all contracts that your group is eligible for into the system and contact your current suppliers to make sure that you are accessing the proper pricing from your specified vendor.

Joining ABS is easy. Click on the JOIN ABS tab on the top of every page, fill out the online Participation Agreement form or download the Participation Agreement pdf, fill it out and fax it to 818-332-7058 . Your information will be forwarded to our partners so that your practice is linked as quickly as possible. ABS will confirm that you are a contracted member and then you may begin to order and to save. Each step of the way, ABS will keep you updated.It’s that easy!

There is no membership fee to become an ABS member. It’s FREE to all qualified physicians and medical groups.

No, your ABS membership is automatically renewed if you comply with the terms of the Participation Agreement. This portion of the agreement refers to our agreements with the vaccine manufacturers. If you are interested in receiving the vaccine discounts, keep in mind our group pricing is based on our members purchasing Merck and/or Sanofi Pasteur vaccines and not their competitors’. Our compliance rates are exceptionally high and we appreciate our members’ dedication to the group’s benefit.

Yes, your application needs to be approved. Upon receipt of your completed registration form, the ABS staff will verify that your office is a legitimate healthcare group. Afterwards, we will send you a secure password via email so you can begin accessing contract pricing on our website. The approval process takes only minutes.

ABS makes loyalty payments since our group pricing is based on brand loyalty. Members purchasing our contracted partners’ products and not their competitors’ can earn eligibility for these awards.

No, vaccine manufacturers require membership in only one physician buying group at a time, so it is important that you choose the right one for your practice—like ABS.

You need to check with your IPA or hospital network first because there could be restrictions. However, there are ABS members who already belong to an IPA or hospital network.

No, you continue to order through your approved distributor or directly throughout the manufacturer. ABS merely negotiates contracts and discounted pricing on products and services on behalf of our members. Once you are an ABS member, you will be instructed on how to place orders depending on the supplier(s) you use. The entire process takes approximately 2-3 days.

Becoming a contracted member of ABS generally takes 1-2 business days. For vaccines, you may begin to order as soon as ABS confirms that your account is linked to Sanofi Pasteur and/or Merck. Once linked, you order, pay for and receive vaccines the way you always have.

ABS does not collect payments from members. For orders placed with GSK or an authorized vendor, the payment terms depend on the different distributors, suppliers and manufacturer requirements.

You will be directly billed from the the vendors themselves as you normally would be. ABS’s contracts generally contain terms that extend the time required to pay. You continue to pay the way you have in the past.

You will not benefit from our negotiated discounted pricing on products and services, nor will you receive any cost benefits from product promotions.

Yes, you will be notified by email of any manufacturer promotion. Therefore, it is vital we have a valid email address attached to your ABS membership. If you need to provide, verify or change an email address, please notify us immediately.

Yes, ABS offers discounted pricing on various products and services that you use every day in your practice and/or health system. Some of the products and services include medical/surgical supplies, pharma and specialty pharma, office supplies and many more. As we continue to expand our products and services offering, you will may be notified by email of these changes.

Absolutely! Let ABS Vaccines negotiate the purchase of all of your capital equipment needs. You may be the best negotiator in town, but when you add that to all of our members capital equipment purchases, we use that information to ask for the deepest discounts possible on every piece of equipment.
